Learn more about working in Which?'s External Affairs team
Which?’s External Affairs team brings business and industry players together, uniting with external stakeholders behind a cause that can protect consumer rights. As part of Which?’s Affordable Food For All campaign it helped to successfully influence business change for consumers. We engage and influence stakeholders - especially businesses. We don’t shy away from asking hard questions for the benefit of consumers. By nurturing relationships with key players in a variety of sectors, we leverage organisational efforts to drive change directly into the businesses we most want to reach. We also bring industry knowledge back into Which? to help shape our policy and campaigning work.
We also work with many internal colleagues including magazine content writers, press officers who strengthen our brand in the public eye, policy advisers and many more.
Our backgrounds are diverse, with experience working in the civil service, recruitment, tech, sales and account management, meaning we bring together a range of skills, experience and knowledge. We need to be good communicators, able to manage difficult relationships and situations as well as influence stakeholders and collaborate with them where our objectives align. Our agility in reacting to external factors, and providing strategic sector insight to wider Which?, helps shape the organisation’s work and drive change for consumers.
