Dean Sobers, senior researcher, was awarded Consumer Champion for 2025. His work on exposing unfair home insurance claims-handling has directly supported vulnerable individuals, making the market fairer and more transparent for all. Dean said: 'It was a privilege to be nominated, and a real honour to win. Hopefully this reflects some of the strides made in the insurance campaign - which I'm proud to be a part of and which loads of people have worked really hard to make happen.’
Kelly-Anne Norrington, consumer law executive, was delighted to pick up the overall Values Sharer Award, for turning a casual conversation into a meaningful consumer safety initiative. Her initiative led to a new partnership, ultimately strengthening security and trust for customers. Kelly-Anne said: 'I'm incredibly grateful for this recognition, but for me, it's really a team achievement. I'm lucky to work with such supportive, knowledgeable and committed people, who I've learnt so much from and whose backing has made all the difference. I'm now looking forward to choosing a course to learn something new. Thank you!'
