Learn more about working in Group Legal & Governance and why Which? is a great place to work and progress your career.
I joined Which? in March 2023 as a Junior Data Protection Specialist. My key responsibilities are to complete risk assessments, process privacy requests from our customers, and advise the business on how to safely and responsibly handle personal data.
I qualified as a lawyer in 2019. During my training contract I assisted the privacy team with complex and sensitive Data Subject Access Requests. This was the first time I was exposed to this niche area of law. I obtained the CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/ Europe) in 2023 and aspire to become a Data Protection Specialist.
I’ve always been familiar with Which? and I wanted to join an organisation with similar values to my own, that's why I felt confident applying and have found it easy to fit in.
I joined Which? worried about using different technology and software as this isn’t something I’m experienced with, but I’m proud at how I’ve been able to overcome this and embrace the challenge!
In my experience, Which? is an inclusive organisation and values difference of opinion, so don’t be afraid to bring your authentic self to work.
Which? provides you with a wide range of resources and mechanisms that help you grow personally and professionally. Some of this may be within team (e.g. stretch projects/opportunities) or led centrally by our Learning & Development team.
We have a Learn and Grow programme and hub on our intranet, in-person/online workshops, access to LinkedIn learning, the possibility of funded courses/qualifications and apprenticeships and much more!
