Current position

People Partner and EDI Lead (equity, diversity & inclusion)

I contribute to the delivery of the overall People strategy by partnering with our Content team to develop and help implement people plans that support the business in meeting its objectives. Evolving and building on the People Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy, creating and leading on the action plan and taking a data driven approach to create sustainable change.

Key experiences

Started at Which? as a Coordinator and developed into a People Partner

I started at Which? as a Coordinator in the People Team as I felt like my skills and interests aligned really well. Then I developed into an Adviser and then to a People Partner which came with opportunities to get involved and lead on important and engaging projects. Now I’m a People Partner and EDI Lead (equity, diversity & inclusion) as I feel really strongly about creating an inclusive culture where people feel like they belong and are heard, while also improving representation at Which?.

Motivation for working at Which?

Supporting the business with everything People related.

I find it really rewarding supporting colleagues at Which? and getting involved in launching and supporting new projects and initiatives.

Greatest achievement

Having the opportunity to develop and create a career path at Which?

I didn't know what I wanted to do career-wise when I got back from travelling back in 2016. I fell into a temp job at Which? and never looked back. Being able to develop and create a career path at Which? has been really rewarding.

Top Advice

Making the most of any opportunity that comes up is a really great way to develop your skill-set and might open other doors for you later down the line.

 

Tell me some stories of things your company does to make LGBTQ+ employees feel at ease at work?

 

We're a member of Stonewall which provides access to support/advice and we have an LGBTQ+ Network which has Senior Executive sponsorship and funding. We also have policies in place to protect employees and to ensure everyone feels safe to be themselves at work.
