This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working (based in London, with 1-2 days a week in the office), 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and a fantastic pension scheme offering 6% in year one and 11% after this.

About the role
As a journalist in our Money team, you'll be pitching, researching and writing expert news, advice and features on personal finance issues for our online and magazine audiences, and working to identify future trends and consumer concerns. You'll also bring your stories to life through our award-winning podcasts, newsletter, social media and video channels.
Some of the topics you'll be writing about might be complicated, but you'll have the ability to crunch data and transform complex concepts into accessible and engaging copy, while always keeping in mind what the news means for consumers and offering them actionable advice and journeys where useful.

About you:
You'll love to write and relish the chance to delve into the weeds of an issue, unearthing the most compelling consumer-focused angles and providing practical advice.
With an understanding of what makes a good story and how to present it well, you will be tenacious, with an interest in personal finance, and have experience in creating content for online or print audiences.
You'll have excellent time-management skills with the ability to work to both tight deadlines and on longer-term research projects. As an excellent communicator, pitching will come naturally to you, and you'll be brimming with creative ideas for new approaches to content creation and innovative ways to tell stories, even if that requires a lot of number crunching.
We'd love it if you have a background in research, copywriting or journalism and some knowledge of current consumer issues. Familiarity with common content management systems and a good understanding of SEO is essential.
