The roles offer a competitive salary and hybrid working with two days a week in the London office, 

Salary £41,000 – £46,000 per annum

About the role

Are you an experienced and creative internal communications professional who can hit the ground running?  We're looking for a Senior Internal Communications Officer to step into this critical london-based role and make an immediate impact. With this being a maternity cover position, we're looking for someone who can confidently lead internal communications projects, deliver engaging content and drive results from day one. This role is perfect for someone who has a strong background in crafting compelling content, managing campaigns and collaborating with senior leaders to influence and inspire. Your ability to write clear, engaging, and impactful communications will be central to  everything you do, whether it's all staff emails, intranet updates, or strategic campaigns. You'll play a pivotal role in connecting our people with Which?'s purpose, strategy, and values, ensuring our hybrid workforce stays informed, inspired, and aligned.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Develop and deliver creative internal communication campaigns to engage employees with Which?'s purpose, strategy, and values.
  • Write engaging and impactful content for a variety of channels, including blogs, the intranet, and email communications.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to create targeted messages and campaigns that resonate with a hybrid workforce.
  • Act as a senior member of the Internal Communications team, deputising for the Internal Communications Manager where required and working directly with the Leadership team and CEO.
  • Manage internal communication tools, such as the intranet and email marketing platforms, ensuring they are effective.

About you:

  • A strong track record in internal communication, with the ability to hit the ground running in a maternity cover role. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and compelling copy tailored to diverse audiences.
  • A creative mindset with a talent for finding imaginative and innovative ways to engage employees across a hybrid workforce.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Confidence in building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to achieve communication goals.
  • Proficiency in using internal communication tools, including content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and basic image or video editing tools, to deliver dynamic content.

The interview process for this role involves:

There are two stages

  • A 15 minute informal chat around your cv and then a 90 minutes competency based interview with a short writing task
